I thought I already did this! Wow. Okay, here we go.
Yarn and fiber clubs have all been received, and June's colorway was Summer Evenings of Longing and Fireflies. Possibly my favorite colorway thus far, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. Both the yarn and the fiber were dyed on MCN bases (80/10/10 merino, cashmere, nylon), which means all luxury, all the time.
And here's the fiber club! I've enjoyed seeing this spun up so far, and hopefully I'll be able to share photos of it in the near future.
I've knit and crocheted several swatches of the yarn club version, which you can see at the end of this post. I made sure to dye an extra four ounces for myself, which I'm glad I did, because... I bought an e-spinner! It's still boxed up at the moment, but I'll take photos as soon as it's out and setup. There was an amazingly nice woman selling her Vespera XXL, and I had no choice but to swoop in and buy that sucker up! I briefly owned the smaller Vespera, but the XXL comes with a hand control and each bobbin can hold up to a pound of fiber. A POUND!
I can't wait to...get good...at...spinning. Oh no. I'm going to hope that my need for immediate perfection doesn't rear its head. Any tips?
While I try not get lost in fear of not being good at spinning, here are photos of those swatches I mentioned...
